About Kadam

Kadam based in Luton, is a significant South Asian dance development agency with international reach. It aims to connect communities in the UK and globally in order to sustain the South Asian art forms, energise the practitioners and the enthusiasts and encourage the development of new work.

Kadam publish Pulse, the premier magazine for South Asian dance and music launched in 2001. In addition Kadam run Unlocking Creativity, the International Summer School focussing on Choreography.



Big Dance 2010

Kadam and Luton Arts present Big Dance on Saturday 3 July with performances at St. George’s Square and workshops at The Hat Factory on Bute Street in Luton. The aim of Big Dance is to get people of all ages and backgrounds involved with dance and dancing as exercise and art.
*Join the MJ* *Challenge* learn the iconic moves of the King of Pop and dance with Ash for Keech Charity 1.00. Big Dance Luton, launches the MJ Challenge, a mass participation dance session in St. George’s Square at 1pm. Unlocking Creativity - 22nd July to 25th July 2010

“A launch pad for creative minds to come together, work and grow” Unlocking Creativity is a groundbreaking four-day residential Choreography course, which aims to develop understanding and skills in the craft of dance making. The course is open to dancers trained in any of the classical forms or those working outside the classical tradition.
